I think I'm slowly starting to learn to accept the parts of myself that aren't so great.

The older I get, the more mistakes I realize I’ve made, and the bigger the trouble I’ve caused. I’ve gone from being someone no one ever disliked to someone people actually dislike. Thinking about it, I actually have quite a few character flaws. For all these years, I’ve been trying to escape or avoid letting others discover my problems, hoping to become someone everyone likes. Come to think of it, perhaps the reason no one disliked me before was because I was always hiding behind a mask.

But in certain situations, when I’m panicking, I can no longer avoid my personality issues—especially when I make major mistakes at work, when I’m faced with situations I’ve never dealt with before and that scare me, or when I try my best but still mess things up, causing those around me to complain,

But it’s really tough. I’m not familiar with procedural errors, and I’ve never dealt with transactional errors before. Sometimes I feel really frustrated—a lot of it comes from a lack of experience, combined with anxiety and nervousness when things go wrong, plus the fact that I’m not good at communicating and coordinating with my colleagues and boss.

But it seems I’ve also learned a lot. How to accept failure, how to accept relationships that can’t be changed, how to face my fears head-on, and how to come to terms with loss.

I’ll make mistakes, I’ll let people down, and some people won’t like me—that’s all perfectly normal. I don’t have to be perfect; I just need to keep making adjustments, taking responsibility, and moving forward.

Failure won't destroy me, and imperfection isn't a reason to hate myself.
